Château de Chauvac's commanding position on a hillside overlooking the Dordogne river provides spectacular views over the green and lush Dordogne River Valley. What could be more enjoyable than a refreshing swim at the same time?  From this high perspective,  guests are entranced by glorious sunsets at the end of magical days spent in the Corrèze.

History

Château de Chauvac dates back to the 13th Century, built in 1260, extensively renovated and extended in the late 1900’s and set in 26 acres of  gardens and ancient woodlands.

Your hosts, Mark and Lindsey, fell in love with the Château, the local area and welcoming community. We know you will too!

The château not only enjoys a magical and picturesque setting but is steeped in history, we have been fortunate to meet previous owners and families associated with the chateau. This research has revealed a long list of discerning and notable guests which likely included royalty, possibly a king!
